One Giant Leap for

GLAMARAMA 2024

June 5th through June 9th

Ready to join in on the fun at GLAMARAMA 2024?  We can't wait to welcome you at our annual event of the Great Lakes Area MotorCoach Association, being celebrated again in the State of Ohio!  With so much to see and do, you won't want to miss a thing.

At the Darke County Fairgrounds, we've got everything you need to make your stay comfortable and convenient. With plenty of 30-amp full hookup sites and a limited quantity of 50-amp sites, be sure to register soon to secure your spot. And if you need a little extra help getting around, we've added even more activity carts to take you to and from the entertainment, dining, and vendor areas. Plus, with a honey wagon service and two dump stations on site, you'll have all the facilities you need for a great stay.

This year, we continue with the “Food Service" volunteer position. Whether you’d like to help out with coffee and donuts, the ice cream social or both, our team leader will work with you to find the perfect fit.

Once again this year we’re pleased to sponsor our “anytime lunch” provided by various food truck vendors that will be on site.  With options ranging from BBQ sandwiches, homemade ice cream, smoked meat, nachos, and street tacos, you're sure to find something to satisfy your hunger.  On Friday we will be having our ice cream social and later in the afternoon we will be providing a reception for our volunteers, vendors, and chapter officers.  Saturday morning everyone is invited to our sausage and all you can eat pancake’s breakfast.

For a little extra adventure, take a luxury bus tour on Thursday, June 6th to the Armstrong Air and Space Museum, in Wapakoneta just an hour away. With luxury bus transportation and admission included for just $40 per person, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. And if you're feeling up to more exploring, enjoy the history of flight with a self-guided trip to the National Museum of the U. S. Air Force about an hour away at Wright Patterson Air Force Base.  For something local, check out the Garst Museum in Greenville (home of Annie Oakley), or even a kayaking or canoeing trip through the local waterways!  Please contact Linda Murphy at murphylpilot@localnet.com if you are interested in additional details.

But while you’re on site at the Fairgrounds, we will have numerous vendors to provide seminars and various selections of RV related products and other items.  When you’re not shopping, maybe you’ll want to engage your creative side.  Our craft coordinator will be offering numerous craft activities. Maybe, games or light sports are what you’re looking for?  Our activities coordinator has planned several games such as horse shoes, corn hole, and euchre to name a few.

And when the day is done, kick back and relax with some nightly entertainment from movie night on Wednesday, Sarah Getto on Friday, and a group still to be determined on Saturday. Oh, and let’s not forget Card Bingo, hosted by our very own distinguished member Dane Bailey, on Thursday.

So, what are you waiting for? If you haven’t registered already, take One Giant Leap and sign up for GLAMARAMA 2024 today, and get ready for the start to a fun-filled June
